Brooke Wichmann
Brooke Wichmann, Ph.D., was designated as the Ombuds at University of the Pacific in the spring of 2026. With over fifteen years of experience in conflict management, mediation, restorative justice and organizational development, Brooke brings deep expertise in helping individuals and groups work through complex interpersonal and organizational challenges. Her work is grounded in the belief that when people feel heard and are treated with dignity, they are better able to move forward in ways that align with their values and interests.
Prior to joining Pacific, Brooke served as Associate University Ombudsperson at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and previously held leadership roles in conflict resolution at Colorado State University.
She holds a doctorate in Organizational Performance, Learning, and Change from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in Peace Education from the University for Peace. She is also a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®), a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Chair of the International Ombuds Association’s Professional Development Committee and host of the Ombuddy podcast
