The Conservatory of Music presents Pacific Jazz Ensemble directed by Professor Joe Mazzaferro. A big band in the tradition of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, the ensemble performs the classics and embraces the music of contemporary composers and arrangers. Their guest artist is Marcus Shelby, a San Francisco-based bassist, arranger and composer.
